The Hook: Use this process to send a temporary password link to a user who is locked out or needs to change their credentials.
Prerequisites:
- Requires Admin access to the User Administration screen.
The Steps:
- Navigate to Admin > User Administration.
- Locate the specific user in the list.
- Click the Reset button located to the left of the user name.
- Click OK on the confirmation pop-up message.
- Click OK on the pop-up displaying the temporary password (optional, as the email is the primary method).
The Result Validation:
- Success: The system sends an automated email to the address on file containing a temporary password and reset link.
Troubleshooting:
- Note: The reset link expires in 1 hour. If the link is expired, repeat these steps to generate a new one.
