The Hook: Use this workflow to create a new user profile, assign site access, and grant specific system permissions via menu templates.
Prerequisites:
- Requires Corporate or Site Admin permissions.
- Must have a valid email address for the new user.
The Steps:
- Navigate to Admin > User Admin.
- Click the Add icon (plus sign) or copy an existing user.
- Select a Menu Template to assign system privileges.
- Enter the Username, First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
- Set the Status to "Active".
- Select the Departments and Account Types the user needs to view (e.g., Rooms, F&B, or All Departments as well as Revenue, Labor, & Expenses).
- Select the Site Group to assign specific property access.
- If the new user will be overseeing multiple properties, make sure that you select the Region from the Site Group dropdown.
- Click the Save icon.
- Click the Reset icon under the Actions column to email the user their temporary credentials.
The Result Validation:
- Success: The new user appears in the User Administration list, and the user receives a welcome email with a password reset link.
Troubleshooting:
- Note: If the user does not receive the email, verify the spelling of the email address and ask them to check their Spam folder.
