The Hook: Use this workflow to resolve duplicate sales manager names (common after sales system conversions) by merging profiles, which combines all production and goals under a single active user.
Prerequisites:
- Requires access to the Sales Manager Admin screen within the ProfitPace Admin menu at the Site Level.
- If these options are not visible, contact your ProfitSword Administrator for assistance.
The Steps:
- Navigate to the Site Level menu: ProfitPace > ProfitPace Admin > Sales Manager Admin.
- Locate the User ID of the manager profile you wish to keep (the primary account).
- Find the row for the duplicate manager you wish to merge.
- Enter the User ID of the primary account into the Parent ID field of the duplicate manager's row.
- Click Save.
The Result Validation:
- Success: The merged sales manager row becomes greyed out, and the Status column displays "M" (Merged).
- Success: All production data and goals are automatically combined under the primary sales manager.
Troubleshooting:
- Note: To undo a merge, re-enter the merged manager's own original User ID into their Parent ID field and click Save.
- Note: If you need to edit an original goal for a merged manager, you must unmerge them, update the goal, and then remerge them.
- Note: Managers manually marked as Inactive (by unchecking the active box) will not appear on the Input Goals screen.
