Using our advanced analytics and visualizations you have the ability to set up Pulse notifications. This allows users to be notified about important KPIs and/or be alerted with those KPIs go above or below a certain threshold. The Pulse notifications can be established by the individual users for their hotels only. These notifications and alerts work based on specific KPIs and as such can only be created from widgets such as gauge and indicator.
To set up a Pulse Alert in Profitability:
1. Launch the dashboard
2. Navigate to the widget you want to use for the alert
3. Click on the 3 lines highlighted below and chose the "Add to Pulse Option"
4. Choose your pulse notification type.
The system will open a new box to allow you to customize your Pulse notification. You have 3 options:
- THRESHHOLD - The system will notify you when the value of your data is greater than or less than a desired amount.
- AUTOMATIC - The system will only alert you when anomalies are detected with the data.
- ALWAYS - The system will notify you about the KPI value every time there is a new data build.
Advanced Options:
Under the advanced option, you can view what filters are in place for the notificatoin. In this case, Property Name is set as the dashboard filter and will therefore be used to filter the notification as well.
Notification Options:
Under Notification Options (orange below), you can set up customized messages in your alerts as well as establish what form of alert you will receive. For now, we are only utilizing email and mobile.
- Email address is based on your login credentials.
- Mobile will be sent via push notification if you're using the mobile app.
Finally, click on "Add" at the bottom of the pop up box and you have finished setting up your new Pulse.
Pulse notifications can be set up for regions as a whole or for individual hotels. If you would like to only see one hotel at a time, a new Pulse would need to be set up for each separate property (using the dashboard filters).
