PS: How to Map Labor Codes

The Hook: Use this process to assign imported time and attendance codes to ProfitSword GL accounts/positions to ensure labor data appears on reports.

Prerequisites:

• Labor import files must be received from the time and attendance system.

The Steps:

1. Navigate to Accounting > Map Labor.
2. Click the Options icon and set the Filter to "New". 

3. Select OK.

   

4. Identify the Labor Code and Labor Label from the import.
5. Click the Edit icon under Standard Type and select the labor type (e.g., Reg, OT, Vac).
6. Click the Edit icon under Account and select the corresponding GL Account/Position.

7. Click Save.

   

Note: When mapping Scheduled Labor, the Type Column must be blank 

8. Navigate to Accounting > Import Labor.
9. Click the Import icon

10. Select Update to refresh the data with the new mappings.

    

The Result Validation:

• Success: The mapped labor hours and wages appear on the Labor Statistics and Labor by Type reports.
