The Context: Drivers allow line items to auto-calculate based on operational metrics. These settings are configured in Customize Accounts. The calculation logic depends on the Driver Mode ($ or #) and the type of ratio used.
The Data:
| Formula Type | Logic | Example |
| Standard Amount | Driver (Qty) x Ratio x Rate = Amount | (1000 Rooms) x (1 Bar of Soap) x ($0.50) = $500 |
| Cost Per Occupied Room (CPOR) | Driver (Occupied Rooms) x Ratio (Cost) = Amount | (5000 Rooms) x ($1.50 CPOR) = $7,500 |
| Percentage of Revenue | Driver ($ Revenue) x Ratio (%) = Amount | ($100,000 Room Rev) x (3% Commission) = $3,000 |
| Labor (Hours Based) | Driver (Occupied Rooms) x Ratio (Hours) = Total Hours | (5000 Rooms) x (0.5 MPOR) = 2,500 Hours |
| Labor (Wages Based) | Total Hours x Rate (Hourly Wage) = Wages | (2,500 Hours) x ($15.00/hr) = $37,500 |
Limits:
- Zero Values: If the Driver value is 0 (e.g., 0 Occupied Rooms), the calculated expense will be 0 regardless of the ratio.
