PS: How to Map the Income Journal for Full Service Marriott Properties

The Hook: Use this workflow to map revenues, settlements, and receivables for Full Service Marriott properties using FSPMS.

Prerequisites: 

• Required Reports: Market Segmentation Report (run immediately before end of day) and Income Journal Report.

The Steps:

1. Navigate to the Import PMS screen.
2. Map room revenue lines coming from the Market Segmentation report; map "Stat" to Stat and "Revenue amount" to Amount.
3. Map additional revenue from the Income Journal or Daily Revenue Report, choosing "AMT" or "-AMT" based on positive or negative import values.
4. Map F&B covers using POS interface data if available; otherwise manually enter covers.
5. Map cash and credit card settlements (importing as positive numbers) with the code "AMT".
6. Map receivables as one code with the NET difference mapped to "AMT".

The Result Validation: 

• Success: Income Journal Summary Revenues match the Income Journal report.

Troubleshooting: 

• Note: Remove pound/hashtag signs (#) from posting codes, as they are interpreted as stats rather than amounts. 
• Note: Ensure the visually readable report is not sent; send the correct data-digestible report.
